Keep your lungs healthy...

Make up artists and hairstylists should be wearing masks all the time. A lot of us would be saying that we are already "immune" to it but we just forget how this could affect our health. We may develop asthma attacks  which makes our breathing terrible. We need to accept the responsibility of keeping our lungs healthy or else we will pay the price sooner or later. We must not inhale this toxic fumes that we get from hair products, not only does it hurt the ozone layer, it also kills us people. One of the best way of protecting our lungs is to wear a mask all the time when at work. There must also be a good circulation at the place where you're working.Maybe a small crack by the window will suffice and a rotating electric fan.

We are a network of contemporary Filipino artists and art educators doing collaborative workshops under the banner Young Artists Studio (YAS). YAS is a service-oriented group composed of contemporary Filipino artists and art educators doing collaborative art production trainings year-round. YAS wishes to give a venue for potential artists across age groups to learn techniques and styles of art production while instilling essential life values, creativity, social awareness and cultural interest. YAS believes that art is a powerful tool to influence communities, improve lives, and transform society. Wear your bangs proudly!

Who says a bride cannot wear her full bangs such as this beautiful bride? As long as you wear it with pride and think with confidence who knows you might be the bride who everyone likes to copy from? Hair and Make up by E.J. Litiatco and Team Photos by Joey Boquiren

A few things to remember...

If you find yourself debating whether you will be bring a make up artist to retouch your make up (or your hair) the whole day or just have a DIY retouch on yourself for a photo shoot so you could save on fees or add-ons, here are a few things to remember. If  you are shooting some photos especially some outdoor photos, you may have to bring a kit containing the following: Compact mirror Blotting papers-to remove excess shine before anything else! Pressed powder with powder puff or sponge-after removing excess shine Lipstick or lip gloss with color Hair comb Facial tissue and small face towel- wipe off any perspiration from your face with a facial tissue but be sure to just pat areas on face (not swiping motions). Small towel for neck and back. If you are extremely oily, make up does not guarantee it will last for hours. An airbrush application of make up will make it last but normally when you are under a cool environment or air-conditioning with moderate light set-up....

So pretty!

What a pretty gown! What a pretty bride! The gown really made the bride's day and I must say she looks so pretty wearing it! I asked who the designer was and how nice to know that it was Rene Salud or popularly known as Mama Rene. I love the details of her gown. It looked so dainty and feminine.I so love the soft layers of tulle it brought to her hips which made her look every inch a princess!=)

Poor packaging...

Eye Seal from Make up For Ever Can anyone help me? Do you have this kind of make up in your bag? Do you have the same experience? This comes really small but drips a little even when you tighten its cap.It works fine though but for the price it's a little expensive. I just wish they change it's bottle into something "drip-proof" if there's such thing...or maybe in a little glass or vial! I rarely use this and if I do I just use a drop only and it goes a long way smudge proofing  my eye make up.So if it drips all the time, a fraction of it goes to waste! And oh, by the way, when I bought two of these bottles, it never was full. Each time I buy it was almost half empty.

A zit...in a zap!

I'm happy because......my pimple has already dried up! Yey!!! It's my first time to have this on my cheek. It's usually positioned on my chin or nose...but very seldom or almost never do I have a pimple on my face. But  no...I don't have a flawless face...I have blemishes too like freckles, white heads and scars...(oh well never mind those!) Thank you  PanOxyl Acnegel! I used the 5% gel which is good for the MILD to MODERATE ACNE. You saved my week! I only used this 2 nights and it really dried up! PanOxyl Acnegel is also known as Benzoyl Peroxide. It is an active ingredient and is made to be a keratolytic medicine. This means that it works by breaking down keratin, a protein that forms part of the skin structure. When you apply benzoyl peroxide to the skin it causes the top layer of skin cells to break down and shed. This helps break down comedones (blackheads and whiteheads) and unblocks the sebaceous glands. It also helps to prevent the formation of...
