Bride Love

Most of my brides are Chinese or has very small "Asian" eyes. Most of them wanted to have their eyes look bigger but appear natural. In the case of Ms. Love, who is a doctor, she wanted something more eye-popping maybe something a little dramatic. So, I played with colors that are flattering to her brown eyes. It was a garden wedding---for the church ceremony, she chose to have her hair up with curls on the sides. Hair by Arianne

Going back....

Hi guys! From now on, I will be going back to the past and will be posting more of my work before in random order. This will be my diary of my works from 2004 to present. My former website www.ejlitiatco.com has not been in operation since summer and I was really sad that the company (Netforj Solutions) who was maintaining it just gave up.I will look for more works from my albums. I know it is quite sad that I don't have a website but at least this blog works! I will try to look for a new web developer soon but I hope that you guys can recommend a good one!

Bride Marishel

This hair accessory was ordered from me by Marishel.  "Make me beautiful and make my eyes big!" That was all she said. We did not have a trial. She just trusted me on this one. She is Chinese. It was our first time to meet. It was on 2011 and was held at  Fernwood Gardens where she had her wedding and it was beautiful. Her make up was airbrushed.

Bride Aiko

Aiko is one of the cutest bride I've ever seen. She is part-Japanese and Chinese. Her wedding was last year 2012.She just told me what look she liked on her wedding veering away from pinkish or smoky tones of eye make up. She just wanted to have an enhanced look making her eyes a little big. She knows what she wants. Hair by Allan  Airbrush Make up  Special thanks to Jervy Santiago for introducing me to her

Bride Jen

Jen's wedding was last 2011. We did not have a trial but she just told me whatever looks best would make her happy. Since she looks more Asian, I just enhanced her face by making her eyes bigger but not too over since she likes it to look more natural.I airbrushed the foundation and a little on the cheeks and later on retouched her cheeks before leaving for the church. The eyebrows, I just let it be ...I had it the same length and thickness on her. Lower photo by Jayson and Joanne Arquiza

Smoky-eyed Bride

This is my pretty friend , Karla. Even without make up, Karla was considered one of the prettiest in college. Until now she is still so beautiful with 2 baby boys. She got married I think around 2011.  She requested for smoky eyes look...somewhat dramatic. If I will do it again, I would love to do her make up some more=) Hair by Joey Make up was done in Airbrush

As part of the entourage...

I have been doing the make up of Andrea (first pic) for quite some time now. She even attended my basic make up workshop. It was really nice that her mom decided to have hers done too with us. It was such a great experience knowing her mom who was a former math teacher in one of the best schools here in the Philippines.I think both of them looked beautiful!

Bride Mel

Mel had a second look for her gown. But the hairstyle remained the same but to make it more special, Arianne placed flowers on one side since the reception would be in the garden of Intramuros. I did her airbrush make up and hair accessory. The elegant hairstyle was made by Arianne. It was my first time to meet her and was a very pleasant experience.

Bride Mylyn

Airbrushed make up by EJ Hair by Joana Of course, the mom of the bride must be pampered too...=) Hairstyle for the reception by Arianne I met bride Mylyn from my former make up student Grace last 2009. Her "shoti" got married to this pretty bride. I love how elegant everything was in their wedding. They had their bridal preps, tea ceremony and reception at the Hyatt Hotel in Manila. I met her once but we never had a trial or test hair and make up she just said whatever makes her look herself---very natural but beautiful. I also asked for hair and make up inspirations which were made for her on the wedding.

Bride Lai

I did Lai's hair , make up and  hair accessory. I airbrushed her face so it will last until the evening. Her hair is ready for second hairstyle for the reception. I made sure that the pin curls I made were secured with hairpins. These will be removed and will be like a half-up-half-down kind of hair or the curls may be gathered in a semi-ponytail and styled on one side. I liked the look I made for Lai here. On her wedding day was my very first meeting with her.

Bride Kaye

This was her hairstyle for the reception. The make up of bride Kaye was airbrushed to be sure the make up would really last.I had her wear elegant colors that fits her fair skin perfectly. Hairstyle by Arianne

CE Basic Make up Workshop

The workshop was specially conducted for my former co-parents from my son's school. We mainly had a good laugh about applying make up.We had so much fun! Some of them were full-time as wives and moms while the others are working full-time  as employees and professionals.

Bride Mae

I met bride Mae from a former client who got married last 2009/2010. Both are doctors. I met them first at a bridal fair which I joined last February. They got married last August with a very intimate church ceremony and reception at the romantic Intramuros in Manila. I can say , both are very passionate with their profession.Based on their stories, doctors do not really rest like the rest of us---normally. They are always busy saving lives and sustaining lives. We made two hairstyles for Bride Mae. Her gown was very elegant. Before the reception, we had her hair done in a different one but still an updo.We just attached a flower to make it look more romantic. The make up was airbrushed and focuses mainly on her lips that looked like a flower bud.She has a very lovely smile.

Hairstyling Practice

I've been practising hairstyles for quite sometime now. I've been interested in hair sculpture but my focus was always on the client's make up since I work with different hairstylists.. Here are some samples. Take note though that styles were made only on a mannequin head so it's really a challenge when you do it on a real head or hair.
