The Phillipinne Wedding Association of Planners recently held a memorable event for all the Filipino suppliers at Dusit Thani Manila on November 4,2014. All the suppliers, including I, as make up artist were there to experience a formal gala wearing only modern designs of Filipino wear. Since I was not so prepared and it was my last minute decision to join, I just borrowed a simple black gown made for my petite height and frame. So I just made my make up look ultra-glam and flawless and had my hair down to one side to frame my face.
So, here is my look:
I enhanced my face by using only browns, greys and blacks for my eyes for a smoky effect. I blended everything making sure there were no harsh lines. And to make my eyes pop, I wore natural but long uneven strands of false strip lashes and finished it off with a wiggle of black mascara.
How about my eyebrows? I made it actually heavier or a little dramatic by giving it a squared effect on the area where it sits on top of the nose line. Since it was an evening affair and the venue was in a hotel, where the lights are more softer and more dramatic, I decided to give it a go but I was hesitant at first because I know a change of shape in eyebrows makes me look totally different.
And to make my eyes look bigger, I wore contact lenses in a greyish hue.
I love coral lips! So I used that colored instead to tame everything! And I'm right about highlight and contouring it brings out the dimensional effect in your face.
Here are some pics with some suppliers I said "hello" to.
