Bride Anne (2012)

I haven't been able to update my work since the fall of the multiply site. My past works were posted there from 2005 up to 2012. Unfortunately, they decided to shut it down. I don't know their reasons but too bad I was not able make duplicates of them=( Oh well....
This is my bride client, Anne. I think she was just referred by a client and she saw my works from the internet. We did not have any trial make up or any make up session at all. She saw my works and trusted me  with my skills. I collaborated with a trusted hairstylist too. She liked the overall look and thanked my team for a job well done. I am very happy with the result. Having no test or trial make up I think is my biggest challenge in my career since on the wedding day is my first hand experience with the bride's face. I love it. I love this kind of challenge!

Make up Look:
The look I gave Anne is something fresh yet a look of a blushing bride. She wanted something very natural. She does not put make up on a regular basis.

Hair:
Her hair was in the shade of black. There was nothing we could do but to put it up due to a gown that spelled E-L--E-G-A-N-T!  She wanted a different hair for the reception so we did something that will make her the most romantic-looking and most beautiful!

Bridal Make up Beauty Transformation

II'm back again! I'm sharing this video and photos with you!  These were taken on  my sister's wedding day! My sister and I had the greatest make up session in our lives! Imagine us, sisters who bonded on the last hours before she says "I do". We just laughed and cried!I will never forget this moment!  I chose not to do a neutral or earth-tone look as I was eyeing a look that's a little both dramatic and ethereal. I asked Jay, my trusted hairstylist and friend to do her beautiful braided hair. Products used: Temptu Airbrush Foundation and Blush   temptu.com Loose Powder Foundation to set:  shuuemura.com Eyebrow gel creme:  macprocosmetics Eyeshadow colors:  viseartparis.com Lipcolor:  stila.com #beautytransformation #bridalmakeup #hairandmakeup   Before (bare faced no make up except eyelash extensions)  After (straight from my phone camera)  And these are photos from the photographer , Ralph Alejandrino. Lo...

It's been a long time...

Oh my, it's been a long time since I have last posted something about work... and I think it has been a year already to be exact!  Anyway, I won't make any promises but I will really try my very best to post works more often and perhaps share more about what ladies often want to learn more. Even the men can join too.  And to share some more today, I almost gave up being a make up artist! Probably one of the reasons why is because, most people nowadays are becoming more and more of a critic and doesn't know what real art is. I had a lot of experiences, really bad ones, that I almost lost myself but I just prayed to God. Then, it happened...I still get blessings from Him. They just kept pouring in. I couldn't even believe it myself but I always thought God was the one who is telling me to slow down. To enjoy. To do my best.  Now, I'm grateful. This is me, still working and surviving....  after 13 years. Thank you God. I am grateful.

Temptu Airbrush Make up

This make up was done a few years ago with the use of airbrush liquids specifally this brand Temptu. Check them out at  https://temptu.com/ .  I've started doing airbrush 2007 when I thought there was a need for it. I was looking for alternatives on make up brands that would actually mimic a flawless skin. My first machine and airbrush set is OCC or Obssessive Compulsive Cosmetics still from the US but I just heard the business closed down this year though.Too bad the make up was good.  Here in this look, I created a high-definition effect using all Temptu liquids. Mixing everything from eyeshadows to bronzers. The eyeliner and  lipsticks were manually done with make up brushes though as they tend to be very precise and detailed. The eyebrows were stenciled but blended well. The lashes were also attached after all the make up were done.
