Messy updo

Jessica Alba's messy updo looks good compared to a darker hue underneath which will look unkept when styled. Women who has naturally curly or wavy hair works well with this kind of style.Just be sure that you color your hair lighter than your real one! To add more dimension to your hair and more softer look, go for subtle highlights!

This is a hairstyle that screams "cool" or "rockin' gorgeous"! But be sure it suites your face and overall look.As you can see, she has brown eyes and spiky lashes which also matched her creamy complexion. This kind of hairstyle only goes to those who has very soft and fine hair.A messy updo like this if not done correctly will literally be called "messy". So to be safe add highlights to it.

Her hair is in a light shade of brown highlighted with a bit of gold , an inch or two from her roots which is so  flattering to her lightly tanned skin. She looks fresh and every inch a goddess.

SAMPLES OF HIGHLIGHTS ON A DARK HAIR:

Her highlights are mostly gathered underneath the ears so when she ties up her hair, highlights will be visible against her dark hair.It looks natural since she opted for subtle highlights. Think maybe LIGHT ASH BROWN against DARK BROWN.Nice!

Have you ever tried multicolored highlights? This is the one! With a base color of   medium brown, AUBURN, GOLDEN BLONDE and ASH BROWN.

Golden blonde highlights against a dark brown hair.

Which is your favorite? I think I'd rather have something like this! Beautiful!!!

Bridal Make up Beauty Transformation

II'm back again! I'm sharing this video and photos with you!  These were taken on  my sister's wedding day! My sister and I had the greatest make up session in our lives! Imagine us, sisters who bonded on the last hours before she says "I do". We just laughed and cried!I will never forget this moment!  I chose not to do a neutral or earth-tone look as I was eyeing a look that's a little both dramatic and ethereal. I asked Jay, my trusted hairstylist and friend to do her beautiful braided hair. Products used: Temptu Airbrush Foundation and Blush   temptu.com Loose Powder Foundation to set:  shuuemura.com Eyebrow gel creme:  macprocosmetics Eyeshadow colors:  viseartparis.com Lipcolor:  stila.com #beautytransformation #bridalmakeup #hairandmakeup   Before (bare faced no make up except eyelash extensions)  After (straight from my phone camera)  And these are photos from the photographer , Ralph Alejandrino. Lo...

It's been a long time...

Oh my, it's been a long time since I have last posted something about work... and I think it has been a year already to be exact!  Anyway, I won't make any promises but I will really try my very best to post works more often and perhaps share more about what ladies often want to learn more. Even the men can join too.  And to share some more today, I almost gave up being a make up artist! Probably one of the reasons why is because, most people nowadays are becoming more and more of a critic and doesn't know what real art is. I had a lot of experiences, really bad ones, that I almost lost myself but I just prayed to God. Then, it happened...I still get blessings from Him. They just kept pouring in. I couldn't even believe it myself but I always thought God was the one who is telling me to slow down. To enjoy. To do my best.  Now, I'm grateful. This is me, still working and surviving....  after 13 years. Thank you God. I am grateful.

Korean Make up Segment

I was invited by TV Host and Philippine Star Columnist , Angel Rivero for a "Korean" make up segment on the show called "Wheels" a few weeks ago. We talked about how big of an influence Koreans have in us when it comes to beauty and fashion. In the show, I was able to introduce to them my favorite Korean brand , Avant-scène Make up Professional.  It was around 5-7minutes talk with a little bit of acting that we were able to discuss and do a demo of Korean's "no-make-up" make up look.  I will post the whole video here next time. The Philippine Star's Wheels airs every Tuesday nights at 7pm on One News Channel, Channel 8 on Cignal TV cable.  (Reruns are every Wednesdays 10am, Saturdays 2pm and 9pm and Sundays 3:30pm and 11:30pm)
