Make up Brush Cleaners

Here are samples of make up brush cleaners

From left, PARIAN SPIRIT PROFESSIONAL MAKE UP BRUSH CLEANER,
                                                ELLANA OIL-FREE BRUSH CLEANER
HUMAN NATURE ALL NATURAL SPRAY SANITIZER

This is a used brush. I want to remove the color of blush and other make up powder that adhered in the bristles of this brush.

First, let's spray 2-3 times of the HUMAN NATURE ALL NATURAL SPRAY SANITIZER on a piece of tissue( better to use a paper or kitchen towel). Then in a back and forth motion and gently circling the brush on the tissue....
In the middle, notice that the tissue is wet but you can hardly see the deposit of color from the brush.

How about this? Ellana worked okay but maybe 5 times of spray should be enough....

Wow! Look at that! The colors were deposited on the tissue well with only just 2 sprays.

This is probably the best MAKE UP BRUSH CLEANER in the world!

Here is my clean brush! Now I'm ready to use it again for my next client!

My own summary:

PARIAN SPIRIT is made in the United States and was made mostly for professionals while both ELLANA and HUMAN NATURE are made here in the Philippines and more for personal use.I hope manufacturers from the Philippines can make a stronger version of Ellana because I love its scent and is very gentle to my brushes. It was also made affordable than Parian Spirit. As for HUMAN NATURE, it is more like "speed cleaning" for your brushes and very mild but not really removing the pigments from your brushes and since it's natural they don't really need to add too many chemicals.

PARIAN SPIRIT is available in different sizes and prices and you can get them from Suesh.-1,500 for the biggest.
ELLANA is available in THE RAMP CROSSINGS in Trinoma and SM Megamall-a stall near the grocery counters.Cost-300plus
HUMAN NATURE is available from dealers and other grocery such as Shopwise and Landmark.Cost-60plus for small and 170plus for big. They have different scents too.

Bridal Make up Beauty Transformation

II'm back again! I'm sharing this video and photos with you!  These were taken on  my sister's wedding day! My sister and I had the greatest make up session in our lives! Imagine us, sisters who bonded on the last hours before she says "I do". We just laughed and cried!I will never forget this moment!  I chose not to do a neutral or earth-tone look as I was eyeing a look that's a little both dramatic and ethereal. I asked Jay, my trusted hairstylist and friend to do her beautiful braided hair. Products used: Temptu Airbrush Foundation and Blush   temptu.com Loose Powder Foundation to set:  shuuemura.com Eyebrow gel creme:  macprocosmetics Eyeshadow colors:  viseartparis.com Lipcolor:  stila.com #beautytransformation #bridalmakeup #hairandmakeup   Before (bare faced no make up except eyelash extensions)  After (straight from my phone camera)  And these are photos from the photographer , Ralph Alejandrino. Korean Make up Segment

I was invited by TV Host and Philippine Star Columnist , Angel Rivero for a "Korean" make up segment on the show called "Wheels" a few weeks ago. We talked about how big of an influence Koreans have in us when it comes to beauty and fashion. In the show, I was able to introduce to them my favorite Korean brand , Avant-scène Make up Professional.  It was around 5-7minutes talk with a little bit of acting that we were able to discuss and do a demo of Korean's "no-make-up" make up look.  I will post the whole video here next time. The Philippine Star's Wheels airs every Tuesday nights at 7pm on One News Channel, Channel 8 on Cignal TV cable.  (Reruns are every Wednesdays 10am, Saturdays 2pm and 9pm and Sundays 3:30pm and 11:30pm)

It's been a long time...

Oh my, it's been a long time since I have last posted something about work... and I think it has been a year already to be exact!  Anyway, I won't make any promises but I will really try my very best to post works more often and perhaps share more about what ladies often want to learn more. Even the men can join too.  And to share some more today, I almost gave up being a make up artist! Probably one of the reasons why is because, most people nowadays are becoming more and more of a critic and doesn't know what real art is. I had a lot of experiences, really bad ones, that I almost lost myself but I just prayed to God. Then, it happened...I still get blessings from Him. They just kept pouring in. I couldn't even believe it myself but I always thought God was the one who is telling me to slow down. To enjoy. To do my best.  Now, I'm grateful. This is me, still working and surviving....  after 13 years. Thank you God. I am grateful.
