My brother is currently studying at SoFa or School of Fashion and Arts for his course. I was asked to do make up for his models. Their theme was just bridal/wedding since they made bridal gowns.Since my forte is bridal make up I'm very confident with my work.Thanks to SoFa and the students for making me a big part of your project! This is Kristel, my bride. She has Japanese/ Asian-looking features. As a make up artist, it is important to define the eyes especially when they have "close-eyes" or "look-down" shots. Defining yet it has to appear normal or natural=)

Brush-up hairstyle... big curls... curls on one side... very soft but small looking curls... One of the most requested....Big curls ala ANNE CURTIS!

This is where they held their wedding reception. I did the make up of Gem  a few years ago for a party. We were introduced by a common friend. She liked the make up I did for her during the party and she swore that she will get me on her wedding day.I'm glad she did.I really like her  wedding gown that she wore kudos to young designer Joel Escober.  Make up Look: Freshly done make up with a pop of color. For the reception, make up was darkened a bit  but still natural looking since the gown itself is already dramatic.Their reception was outdoor beside the sea. Hairstyle: I made a very simple  hair accessory for her since her gown is already dramatic. The bride requested her hair to be loosened on the side for the reception.

On the first day of our meeting, she said she wanted a natural look on her wedding. I also did her make up on her engagement shoot. Make up Look: Airbrush make up foundation, eyeshadow base, eyebrows and blusher. Natural make up with chiseled cheeks for the bride at the church ceremony. For the reception, make up is a little dramatic. Hairstyle: Softer bun with braids and curls for the church ceremony and hair on the side with curls at the reception. Hair accessory: I made for the bride a few days before.

Bride's Look before the reception Hair and Make up retouch by Joanna Melo Make up Look: The bride and I did not have a make up trial prior to her wedding. She just said we know what's best for her so she entrusted her wedding look to us. I still chose the blushing look on her to give her softer glow. Airbrush make up foundation, eyeshadow base and blusher. Hairstyle: For the church, we had her hair styled in an elegant bun with curls.She wanted a side-part since she is very conscious of her face shape. I told her that she has lovely features so she doesn't have to be ashamed of  the shape of her face. And on the reception, she wanted her hair down on one side but still with softer curls.

Bride Girlie is from abroad.All our conversations were done using FB and thru emails.She is the cousin of my hairstylist Arianne Cuenco. We did not have any trial make up done prior to her wedding. On the big day, I asked her what make up look she likes then I assured her that it will be perfect!  Make up Look: Blushing bride.. Airbrush make up foundation, eyebrows, eyeshadow base and blush. Hairstyle:  by Arianne Cuenco Updo on the church ceremony and half-up and down for the reception.

The Bride's photo... Engagement photo session  I met pretty Kristel through a client who recommended me too. She is a Spanish mestiza and has a mix of Chinese. Make up Look: The look I gave her on the wedding day is slightly smoky on the eyes with nude pink lips. Hairstyle: We changed the hairstyle into something more relaxed and more sexier on her.
